Hand Fabricated Sterling Dodecahedron Pendant
Description
A dodecahedron is a geometric form which has 12 sides, each of which is a pentagon.
This pendant was formed by cutting out a shape in silver sheet, scoring, folding and soldering it into a three dimensional form. Sort of like origami done in silver. The sheet has to be scored deeply enough to fold cleanly, but not so deep that it breaks. Each fold has to be reinforced with solder. To say it is challenging is understatement.
I hope you like the result. While not perfectly symmetrical, I think it is pretty cool!
