Eilat Stone Earrings
Description
Eilat stone, which is a conglomerate of turquoise, malachite, azurite and other minerals was initially found near the city of Eilat in southern Israel, in King Solomon's Mines. However, there are deposits of similar minerals in arid regions of the US. This stone was actually mined in California. The stones were cut and polished by yours truly and display an amazing play of blues and greens. These are set in fine silver on sterling backplates. Each earring weighs no more than 4 grams.
Each earring is 1 3/8" long from the top of the ear wire, and about 1/2" wide. The earrings backs have a hook on the bottom to safely secure the earrings.
